HELLO EVERYONE!!! I am back, - seriously, I am ready to rock and roll!
You may have wondered what the hell happened to me over the last few months, well I honestly just needed a break. I had made the mistake of creating too many commitments, and my weekly blog just got caught in the middle. I will be re-committing myself to my blogs asap- especially as this summer serves to be extremely exciting.
On the home front life is going awesome. My fiance and I have started our engagement counseling at our church- super jacked for that. Our first session was interesting to say the least! I actually enjoyed opening up as well as listening to a third parties opinion on a few areas my girl and I want to focus on.
Don't get me wrong, we are getting stronger every day, it's just that our church has an extremely effective 8 week course that couples are advised to take prior to tying the knot. We are all for it and cannot wait to cross the finish line with flying colors.
My mom and dad are doing wonderful, loving life in their brand new home in Boynton Beach, FL. It's a beautiful single story home in an unbelievable community. I am so proud and love the fact that my parents are enjoying their retired lifestyle - I am jealous!
Regarding working in the supplement industry; I have in fact found a home and am extremely excited to contribute once my non compete agreement is over (I can still model, get diced for shows and magazines, etc- I just can't work as a W2 employee fulltime). You see, I am unable to work in the industry that I love so much due to the fact that I have a non-compete agreement in place (12 months, which will be up in Sept of this year) regarding working for competitors. Trust me, I will never sign such an agreement again- I will never let someone prevent me from doing what I have done the last 20 years of my life. Unfortunately I will forever hold resentment towards my old employer for enforcing the agreement, which is cool because I cannot wait to get back in the game and absolutely engulf the competition. It's only a matter of time- you know who this is directed to so get beefed up and go review your material. Its gonna be a bumpy ride. Ohhh fu&% it feels good to be back! I feel like a friggin Indy Car stuck in a garage just waiting, collecting dust till the big day- when my new team and I lap around the competition.
I never lost touch with what mattered, which is you- the fan, consumer, client- call it what you want, without you we (supp industry folk) are NOTHING. Some companies lose sight of this in their jaunt for fame and fortune. That's bullshit to me. To this day I remember my core values. I remember my family constantly sharing in the development of my young mind, and eventually my brother developing my body. The memory of walking into GNC with my brother when I was a skinny 13 year old is very clear. I will never forget buying my first supplement with him- Super Gainers Fuel 2500. What a fuc&ing weight gainer that was. It was like drinking cake batter! But it worked and I double my weight (yes I said DOUBLED) in high school- from 117lbs as a freshman to 235lbs as a senior, in rout to crushing helmets with Brian Urlacher at the University of New Mexico. Damn I remember hitting that Mack Truck for the first time, it was literally like hitting a cement wall. Cheers Brian, you are still kicking ass and taking names in Chicago- keep it up brother.
Crap I am rambling- so what I haven't pushed out a blog since Mothers day.
Oh, you know what I am really looking forward to doing? Some hardcore ads, like back in the day when I was walking around at 242lbs, remember that ad with the white tank and beanie? That ad put BSN on the map- no doubt. The last few years I have had some serious shitback shot lists - like posing with a friggin medicine ball or a 15lb barbell for side twists. What the hell is that? Talk about misrepresentation. I toss around 125lb dumbbells, not 12lb medicine balls. When you see my next media campaign you will tip your hat- because my hardcore lifestyle is back- and so will be our insane media campaign with a crazy line-up of hardcore products. I still am unable to release the name of the company- just know that I am not feeding anyone a bag of shit. I am onboard and have a home- after 9 months of sitting and waiting for the right offer to come my way. I have finally landed and am ready to take the next step in my life.
Regarding this whole shake up with a new company I just want to stress why I got into this sport in the first place. It's because, like you, I spent a ton of money on crap supplements and figured I would do something about it. I will forever be a reliable source of information for all things health, fitness and nutrition. You will never have to worry about my intentions, as they are always in favor of YOU, your health & well being and how fast and effectively you are hitting your goals. Keep your eyes and ears peeled though because not everyone in my industry acts in this manner. This is the exact reason why I have chosen to work with a company that holds efficacy and quality control to the highest standard. Innovation is essential, but preparation and due diligence is just as important when developing consumable goods. Trust me on this- you will thank me in the end. I will always protect those that are taking my products. I stand by what I support and advertise 100% of the time, no questions asked.
Ohh, on the entertainment side of things I do believe I will be cast as the head judge on an upcoming episode of MTV's popular teen show, MADE. Keep your fingers crossed, I will find out this week. Shooting starts in August, lasts through September. I will have app 8 weeks to turn a young high school sophomore into a buffed up stud! I just know we can hot our goal- which will be 25lbs of weight gain over 8-10 weeks. This particular kid has the room to grow, he has never picked up a weight, only eats twice per day and is primed and ready for a growth spurt.
I am actually pitching a show to MTV right now, kind of a spinnoff on all of these MADE episodes that deal with kids weight issues (which for obvious reasons also contribute to their self image and esteem issues). I would absolutely love to host a show that is similar to Biggest Looser, but for high school and college kids. We will see. In due time this will happen , I can feel it. Hey you never know, maybe you can help me. It never hurts to get support emails. If you think I would be a good host/coach for kids who need a life changing and body altering experience please by all means, send MTV an email! We are all in this together, right!?!
Okay, wow, nice energized blog today. It feels so good to get back in touch with all of yo. Please drop me a comment and let's keep in touch. My site will also be taking on a new image shortly. I will always work off of your feedback so don't hold back!
Remember.....
TRAIN HARD & LIVE LARGE!!
